Articulated Necklace x3 Gold Balls

About this piece

This Necklace is completely articulated. Each element moves individually with a rotation of almost 360 degrees. Inspired by the movement of a snake and articulation in skeletal forms, this piece is both technically and aesthetically compelling.

The main components of this piece are handcrafted in Sterling Silver. The majority of internal 'balls' in which the Silver forms wrap themselves around are crafted in Aluminium. The Anodised Aluminium provides a lightness in physical weight whilst adding a strong contrast of colour. Hidden within the repetitive yet evolving outer forms of this necklace are x3 internal 'ball's of 18ct Yellow Gold (hollow). Where the gold balls appear, the outside forms in Sterling Silver change in form to open, spiky elements.

Each Sterling Silver form is held together by an eternal movement which is completed with the added detail of 18ct Yellow Gold washers on every joint.

The is no 'clasp' in this Necklace. The Necklace is 62cm long and designed to simply slip over the head to wear.

A dramatic piece to adorn either male or female.
